According to Sarah Ayre, who writes on behalf of the Trust, it is "a non-profit, New Zealand registered, educational charity. Its purpose is to inform people about the social, environmental, and economic benefits of universal income systems i.e. economic systems that fulfill the minimum basic requirements inherent in the International Bill of Human Rights (which includes the right to be free from slave labour)."
