Book Ratings Key

We rate the materials we review on at least three dimensions:
-Quality of writing
-Appropriateness of ideas
-Degree of alignment with the CLAWS mission

5--Outstanding, comprehensive and highly recommended; don't miss!
4--Well worth it, engaging, full of excellent ideas, thought-provoking
3--Useful to a limited audience, with clear flaws, but definitely worth checking out
2--Good start, but quite bogged down by unclear writing, jargon, outdated material, or other problems
1--Not as aligned with our mission as other materials, or objectionable for other important reasons, but worth a look at least

No rating--Books that aren't rated have not yet been reviewed by CLAWS, but have been recommended to us by others.
